FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Getting Started
-
What is the role of an Area Coordinator?
An Area Coordinator manages Tiffit operations within a specific locality. This includes supporting cooks, coordinating deliveries, doing routine cook kitchen checks, and ensuring a smooth experience for customers in that area.
-
How do I become an Area Coordinator?
You can apply through the platform or reach out to us directly. We will set up a conversation to understand your interest, followed by an onboarding process if selected. You will also go through a simple HACCP training with us to ensure you can safely deliver hot meals as soon as you can.
-
Do I need prior experience?
Prior experience is helpful but not required. What matters most is your ability to manage people, stay organised, and take ownership of your local area. We recommend having an e-bike to ensure smooth deliveries.
Since it is a pre-order lunch and dinner service you'll know exactly the total orders and where to deliver them in advance. Hence, even if you are working for other delivery platforms; you could set aside just 2-3 hours to manager Tiffit operations.
Responsibilities

You will be responsible for onboarding cooks in your area, supporting them through setup, coordinating deliveries, and maintaining quality across orders.
-
Will I be involved in cook onboarding?
Yes, you will play an active role in helping new cooks get started. This includes assisting with initial setup and ensuring they understand expectations around safety and quality.

Operations

-
Will I receive tools or support?
Yes, Tiffit provides guidance, systems, and support to help you manage operations effectively.
-
How much time does this require?
This can vary depending on the size of your area and demand. Delivery windows are fixed, and most operational work happens around those times, with flexibility outside of them.
On days when deliveries are scheduled, the role typically requires around 3 to 4 hours. This includes coordinating deliveries, supporting cooks, and ensuring everything runs smoothly during service hours.
In addition to this, some time within those hours may be spent on operational tasks such as distributing packaging to cooks, responding to customer queries, and supporting local marketing efforts.
The structure is designed to be manageable and consistent, allowing you to plan your time while still taking full ownership of operations in your area.
Earnings & Growth
-
How do Area Coordinators earn?
You earn through a share of each order completed in your area, along with delivery fees per order you deliver.
-
Would earnings grow over time?
Yes, as more cooks and customers join your area, your role and earnings can grow based on how well you would like to market in your area. Being a local can be useful here to understand customer demographics and also reach them in effective ways.
Quality & Standards
-
Am I responsible for maintaining standards?
Yes, you are responsible for ensuring that cooks and deliveries in your area meet Tiffit’s expectations for quality and reliability. However, home cooks are independent sellers and your H&S responsibility is limited to when you handle the meals during deliveries.
You would be required to handle any customer issues with utmost care. Both Tiffit and local authorities may carry out checks. You will support cooks in maintaining readiness and consistency.
